Akihito Narita scores Resident Evil 6
Capcom today posted the announcement trailer for Resident Evil 6, which has received a release date of November 20 on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. The latest installment of the horror series will star Leon Kennedy and Chris Redfield, centering on zombification outbreaks in China. Serving as lead composer is Akihito Narita, whose previous credits include Resident Evil 5 and Devil May Cry 4.

Black Materia: The Remixes pre-orders now open
Rapper Random, aka Mega Ran, has opened pre-orders for Black Materia: The Remixes, a hip-hop album inspired by the music and story of Final Fantasy VII. Vocal tracks "Cry of the Planet (Japan Remix)" and "Final Fantasy JonWayne Remix" are available to stream in full on Bandcamp. The album is due out January 31, produced by Lost Perception, with production by DN3 and mastering by K-Murdock.

Name your price for Romain Gauthier's SQUIDS soundtrack
The soundtrack to SQUIDS, featuring music from the casual iOS title by French developer The Game Bakers, is available to download from Bandcamp in your file format of choice for "name your price." The 11-track downloadable score composed by Romain Gauthier of Mobigame's Edge comes with a digital booklet with cover art by Jérôme Reneaume. Proceeds will be put toward the making of music for SQUIDS 2.
